Creamline, Petro Gazz, and PLDT will take separate paths in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League after being drawn into different groups, as announced on Wednesday.
The Cool Smashers lead the cast of Pool A, where they will go up against No. 31 Zhetysu VC of Kazakhstan and Al-Naser Club of Jordan.
Meanwhile, the Angels were placed in Pool B along with No. 45 Taipower of Chinese Taipei and No. 60 Hip Hing Women’s Volleyball Team of Hong Kong.
Both Creamline and Petro Gazz were among the four seeded teams, alongside China’s Baic Motor Volleyball Club and Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin VC. Meanwhile, the remaining teams, including PLDT, were divided into two separate draw pots.
The High Speed Hitters landed in a tougher group in Pool D, where they will face Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin VC—the second-highest ranked team in the competition at No. 13—along with No. 55 Queensland Pirates of Australia.
The High Speed Hitters were the latest addition to the tournament as the Asian Volleyball Confederation allotted one more slot to the host nation before the drawing of lots.
Lastly, Baic Motor Volleyball Club (No. 5), Vietnam’s VTV Binh Dien Long An (No. 32), and Iran’s Volleyball Club (No. 57) will compose Pool C.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
Teams that qualify from Pool A will face those from Pool C, while the top two squads from Pool B will take on the leading teams from Pool D. The winners of these matchups will advance to the semifinals.
The semifinal victors will then move on to the knockout finale, while the losing teams will compete for the bronze medal.
